Novartis was created in 1996 through the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz, two companies with a rich and diverse corporate history. Throughout the years, Novartis and its predecessor companies have discovered and developed many innovative products for patients and consumers worldwide.

For more than half a century now, Novartis Healthcare has been active in the Philippines through local agents Sandoz (Philippines), Inc. and Ciba Geigy (Philippines), Inc., founded in 1964 and 1973, respectively. Novartis in the Philippines was incorporated in 1996, integrating Ciba Geigy and Sandoz Philippines, following the merger of the giant parent companies.

Novartis Healthcare Philippines, Inc. locally markets various quality pharmaceutical consumer products developed through years of research. Our mission is to discover, develop and successfully market innovative products to cure diseases, ease suffering, and enhance people’s quality of life. We are composed of two divisions.

The world-renowned Pharmaceuticals Division of Novartis provides a broad range of innovative medicines to patients, physicians and healthcare organizations. It develops and markets patent-protected prescription drugs for important health needs. Its product portfolio focuses on the following major therapeutic areas:
